The Yaşar University General Secretary operates as the chief administrator and functions under the direction of the Rectorate. The General Secretary is responsible for the administrative staff and coordinates with the following offices: Public Relations, Information Technology, Health, Culture and Sports, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Student Affairs. He also manages the security, transportation, maintenance of buildings, and purchasing of goods and services for the university.

The General Secretary also functions as the reporter to the Board of Trustees, Senate and Board of Directors.
