Five Times in a Row

The "2021 Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index", where the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK) lists the top 50 universities in terms of their level of entrepreneurship and innovation, was announced by Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology. Having been listed in all of the indexes since 2016, Yaşar University was ranked with a score of 44.79 in the 23rd place, moving up 20 places compared to the previous year, and in the 5th place among foundation universities.

While Yaşar University rose in all fields, especially in the fields of 'Collaboration and interaction' and 'Economic and social contribution', it achieved a 20-place rise in the overall ranking. Yaşar University Rector Prof. M. Cemali Dinçer informed that the "Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index ranks universities in four different categories including ‘scientific technological research competence’, ‘intellectual property pool’, ‘Collaboration and interaction’ and ‘economic and social contribution’ based on 23 parameters. “The Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index ranks universities according to their performance in entrepreneurship and innovation and contributes to establishing and boosting the competition between the entrepreneurship and innovation centers of the universities across Turkey. We have been listed in all of the indexes since 2016. This year, we have moved 20 places up in the index. Our goal is to be among the top 10 in the next five years,” said Yaşar University Rector Prof. M. Cemali Dinçer.
